[Note to Rule-4(1)]
Teaching Permit Application
Land Measurement Regulations
According to sub-rule (1) of rule 19: A non-government primary school shall have, in its own ownership or on lease, at least the following land or building area, namely:-
(a) 3 decimal, if located in a metropolitan area;
(b) 5 decimal, if located in a municipal area;
(c) 30 decimal, for other areas.

Reserve Fund Amount Regulations
According to sub-rule (2) of rule 12: Provided that, subject to the provisions of rule 13, the following amounts shall be deposited as fixed deposits in savings certificates or in any scheduled bank, namely:-
(a) BDT 100,000, if located in a metropolitan area;
(b) BDT 75,000, if located in a district sadar;
(c) BDT 50,000, if located in upazila sadar and municipality; and
(d) BDT 25,000, if located at the union level.
According to Rule 13: Naming of institution in the name of an individual - In case of establishing a non-government primary school in the name of an individual, the entrepreneur shall deposit BDT 500,000 in the reserved fund as a permanent deposit of the school and the dividend of the said money may be withdrawn and included in the general fund for the development work of the said school by unanimous decision of the management committee:
However, it is provided that this rule shall not be applicable in the case of an existing school established in the name of an individual.

Teaching Permission Application Fee Regulations
According to sub-rule (3) of rule 4: The application fee for permission to conduct teaching at a non-government primary school shall be paid by treasury challan at the following rates, namely:-
(a) BDT 1, for schools located in metropolitan cities and other divisional cities;
(b) BDT 1, for schools located in district sadars;
(c) BDT 1, for schools located in any other place including upazila sadars.
